Kim Nguyen Tran, Ph.D.

Associate Director + Resident Ethnomusicologist

Dr. Tran is an educator, scholar, and organizer based in the Los Angeles area. Her work centers around how the arts shape our collective memories, give meaning to our histories, and help us imagine our futures. She has taught in the Asian American Studies, Asian Languages and Literatures, and Ethnomusicology departments at UCLA and in the Music History department at Glendale Community College. She is co-founder, Associate Director + Resident Ethnomusicologist at Bridge to Everywhere and a founding member of the Missing Piece Project, a collective art project based at the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington DC.
