Clarice Cast

Clarice Cast is a multi-percussionist originally from São Paulo, Brazil. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Northern Illinois University and a Master's in World Percussion from the California Institute of the Arts. Based in Los Angeles, CA, Clarice maintains an active career as a performer, recording artist, and composer, and serves as a sought-after clinician at colleges, universities, and major percussion festivals, including the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (2014). Since 2022, she has been a faculty member at California Brazil Camp. She is the Co-Director of Bloco Obini, directs the World Percussion Ensemble at College of the Canyons, and joined Bridge to Everywhere as a percussionist in 2026. Her work can be heard on the acclaimed debut album by Lado B Brazilian Project, which received a Grammy nomination at the 58th Grammy Awards in the category of Best Arrangement, Instruments & Vocals. Rooted in her Brazilian heritage, Clarice's cultural identity is the driving force behind her artistry, informing everything she performs, composes, records, and teaches.
