Anna Kouchnerov is a violinist, composer, dancer, writer, and music educator. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music in Violin Performance. As a musician, she explores an eclectic path in merging global traditions through improvisation and performance. Anna pursues studies in cross-genre music and dance through the lens of a classical training in a wide variety of traditions including Balkan, Anatolian, Middle Eastern, Persian, West & North African, North Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian, Celtic, and experimental & contemporary western jazz.

She has also performed as a soloist and chamber musician with ensembles across Los Angeles, including the UCLA Camarades & Philharmonia and Los Angeles Philharmonic for the Green Umbrella Series. Furthermore, Anna participated in orchestral festivals, chamber programs, and masterclasses across the United States and Western Europe including the ‘Incontri in Terra Di Siena’ Festival (Tuscany), Rencontres Musicales Internationales (Switzerland), Montecito International Music Festival, The Next Festival for Emerging Artists, and the SommerMusikakademie Schloss Hundisburg (Germany). In past years, Anna has worked with several local nonprofit arts organizations, including development & fundraising with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, assisting with Monday Evening Concerts, serving as violinist, composer, and project coordinator for the Los Angeles-based ensemble Bridge to Everywhere, and providing special event & programs support for the Kronos Performing Arts Association and members of the Kronos Quartet.
