Our Mission

Bridge to Everywhere celebrates cultural diversity by bringing people together to experience interwoven musical traditions so as to foster a more inclusive society.

About Us

New music for an interconnected world

Bridge to Everywhere is a Los Angeles-based chamber orchestra and new music collective committed to supporting composers, performers and educators who celebrate cultural diversity through interwoven musical traditions. Through commissions, performances, recordings and education programs, the group strives to build bridges between instruments, genres, cultures and people.

Led by artistic director Derrick Spiva Jr. and executive director Philip Graulty, Bridge to Everywhere is comprised of twenty musicians whose passion and excitement for new music move them to explore the unfamiliar. From harp and string quartet, to oud and electric guitar, piano to synthesizer, tabla to gung-gong drums and beyond, the global collective aims to reflect our interconnected world.

“Music, for me, has always been a doorway into understanding other cultures and different ways of living. Through learning music of other cultures, I believe that the opportunity for dialogue rather than conflict between strangers is opened, and we can become a society with less conflict due to cultural misunderstanding.” – Derrick Spiva Jr.
